The key to protecting people, environment and property in the case of a possible CBRN attack or accident is reconnaissance, early warning and identification. When the threat has been identified effective actions to prevent casualties and to stop the threat from spreading can be taken. The Environics CBRN Reconnaissance Vehicle is meant to fullfill this need by offering early warning detectors, sample collection, sample analysis and a realtime monitoring software with remote alarms to the control centers. This enables rapid detection, identification and reporting, all within the same vehicle.

The purpose of the CBRN Reconnaissance vehicle is to be able to rapidly discover Chemical, Biological or Radiological threat in order to warn people or troops and to start protective actions as soon as possible. The vehicle facilitates monitoring of large areas relatively rapidly while protecting the crew from CBRN hazards. The vehicle can operate as a single unit or together with several vehicles. The information from the vehicle is constantly sent to the control center to help situation awareness and to help commander´s decisions. The information can be used to calculate hazardous areas and to predict hazardous clouds propagation.
